PLANT SALE 2025: “Stop Mulching – Keep Planting!”
Saturday June 7th, 2025
Available for purchase, will be a variety of “Field Filler” perennials, a selection of our favorite trees & shrubs, as well as a few unique opportunities to try.
We custom grow these plants – the absolute most reliable plants – in small containers that make them super easy to plant. Pull up, get your plants, put them in your trunk and get back home to start planting!
The most common question we get is “what are your Field Fillers?”
Our Field Fillers are sets of plants (one for shade, one for sun) that are great generalists and high vigor plants. We have selected the plants in each set to help make it easy to “stop mulching and start planting”.
These plants are good for any application:
- new beds
- filling old beds or gaps
- along and around foundations
- low maintenances spots likes slopes, boulevards and rain gardens

Online ordering is available on our website through Tuesday, May 28th. Order early to secure your selection and quantities. Any inventory not sold during the pre-sale will be available on June 7th for day of sale purchasing.

Step 1
Measure and Plan
First gather some basic information: Measure the areas you want to plant and determine if each area is more sun or shade?

Step 2
Select Your "Field Fillers"
For every 10 sq ft you will need 1 “Baker’s Dozen” Sun or Shade Filler (13 plants). Filler packages are also available in 25 & 50 plant quantities so you can easily scale up to cover larger spaces.

Step 3
Add Variety with Individual Plants
Add in 1-2 taller individual perennials for each Filler package you buy. This allows you to add a little variety in height & dimension to your mix.

Step 4
Consider Trees and Shrubs
Consider adding a tree or shrub to your planting plan. They can really help anchor the space as well as add year-round seasonal interest.
