HAVING IT ALL: How to fit everything into a tiny backyard
This tiny Minneapolis backyard has everything the client wanted: patio, deck, firepit, raised vegetable garden and doggie pooh area. The best thing is that it is extremely low-maintenance which fits their busy life-style. The most gratifying thing was to see them order a pizza and crack open a bottle of wine the night we completed the project. We love to see our projects lived in!
The natural streaks of rust in the staggered edge, patterned bluestone patio works well with the Dresser trap chip firepit area and boulders. The landscape rewards looking at every detail with many mixes of succulent plants thriving in the gravel environment. The tall planters work great for vegetable growing as you can tell below from the mammoth kale and streaming sweet potato vine.
